IT System Administrator (m/f/d) in the Identity and Device Management Department Hamm Full-time Immediately 2 years E 9a TV-L Scope of Responsibilities and Tasks – What to Expect: Device Management: You will manage the university's IT workstations and PC pools, ensuring reliable operation through installation, configuration, maintenance, and software deployment.

Identity Management and User Administration: You will manage user accounts, permissions, email accounts, and other access rights throughout the entire user lifecycle. Identity Management with NetIQ: You will administer and operate our central identity management system, assist with the integration of line-of-business applications, and contribute to its further development.

System Operations and Support: You will analyze and resolve issues, implement updates and changes, and provide second-level support to users and colleagues.

PKI and Printing Systems: You will support the operation of the self-service PKI and the lifecycle of digital certificates, as well as the administration of our central and decentralized printing systems.

Consulting and Collaboration: For IT-related questions and procurements, you will advise employees and collaborate with internal contacts and external service providers on technical solutions.

Documentation and Further Development: You will document systems and changes and actively contribute to the optimization of our IT services and processes. Your Profile –

What You Bring to the Table:Qualifications:You have completed vocational training in computer science or a related field suitable for performing these tasks.

Professional Experience: You have professional experience in the administration and support of IT systems, as well as a solid general understanding of modern IT infrastructures.

Microsoft Environment: You have strong knowledge of Microsoft-based environments, particularly Active Directory, Exchange, and client and device management.

Identity Management: Knowledge of identity and access management, ideally with NetIQ Identity Manager or comparable systems, is a plus.

Additional Skills: Knowledge of networking, PowerShell, and IT service management, as well as relevant certifications—such as ITIL, Microsoft Endpoint Administration, or NetIQ—is desirable.

Work Style: You work in a structured, independent, and solution-oriented manner; you are service-oriented and communicate confidently with users, colleagues, and external service providers.

General Information About the Position: The place of employment is Hamm. The university has policies in place regarding working from home. This full-time position, limited to two years, is to be filled as soon as possible. Salary classification is based on the assigned duties and fulfillment of personal requirements, up to Pay Grade 9a according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Public Service of the German States (TV-L). Positions may generally also be filled on a part-time basis, provided there are no operational reasons preventing this in individual cases.
