Job Description
Scarsdale Vets is a purpose-built, state-of-the-art hospital offering both first opinion and referral services. With extensive facilities including multiple theatres, advanced imaging suites with CT and MRI, ultrasound rooms, endoscopy, hydrotherapy, and dedicated treatment areas, we provide a truly exceptional clinical environment.
You’ll be joining a large, friendly, and highly skilled team, working collaboratively across a diverse and complex caseload. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your clinical skills within a specialist-led environment, gaining hands-on experience with advanced procedures and equipment.
How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.
You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a wide range of cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the hospital.
This is a varied and rewarding role where you will be involved in anaesthesia, inpatient care, procedures, diagnostics, and imaging. You will also have the opportunity to perform Schedule 3 procedures under veterinary direction, helping to develop your clinical autonomy and skill set.
You will work with advanced diagnostic equipment including X-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI, ECG, blood pressure monitoring, and in-house laboratory diagnostics, gaining valuable experience across a broad caseload. Alongside your clinical duties, you will support the smooth running of the hospital, contributing to stock control, equipment maintenance, and team workflows.
This is a full-time role averaging 38 hours per week across 4 days, with shifts between 7:30am and 7:00pm, including occasional twilight shifts (3:00pm–12:00am). You will also take part in a 1 in 6 weekend rota.
