MuleSoft Architect

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced MuleSoft Architect to design, develop, secure, and support enterprise MuleSoft API Gateway and integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in MuleSoft, DataWeave 2.0, API Management, Runtime Fabric, API Security, DevOps, and Anypoint Platform.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with MuleSoft Development and DataWeave 2.0.
  • Expertise with MuleSoft API Manager and API Gateway.
  • Experience implementing custom API Gateway policies.
  • Hands-on experience with Runtime Fabric (RTF) deployment.
  • Strong API security experience with:
    • SSL/TLS
    • OAuth 2.0
    • Threat Protection
    • Data Protection
  • Experience with Anypoint Platform, Anypoint Studio, Exchange, and Runtime Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of RAML/OpenAPI specifications.
  • Experience with MUnit.
  • DevOps experience with:
    • GitHub
    • GitHub Actions
    • GitOps
    • ArgoCD
    • Maven
  • Experience with JMeter.
  • Strong Java knowledge.
  • Understanding of Azure Cloud concepts.
  • Experience using AI coding IDE tools and building development automations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop MuleSoft API Gateway solutions based on business requirements.
  • Configure and customize API Gateway policies for security and performance.
  • Create and implement API specifications using RAML or OpenAPI.
  • Develop MuleSoft integrations using DataWeave 2.0.
  • Configure and manage API security controls.
  • Deploy and manage MuleSoft applications using Runtime Fabric (RTF).
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, DevOps, and operations teams.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and API specifications.
  • Build reusable MuleSoft components and libraries.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot APIs using ELK, Dynatrace, and Anypoint Monitoring.
  • Identify opportunities to improve API performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other MuleSoft developers.
  • Stay current with MuleSoft API Gateway security features and industry best practices.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should be a technically strong MuleSoft Architect/Developer with hands-on experience in API Gateway architecture, API management, Runtime Fabric, DataWeave, API security, and enterprise integrations. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.
