Job Description

Shape the Future of Veterinary Dentistry at MyVets Lancashire

Are you a Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for dentistry—or looking to develop one?

MyVets Lancashire, part of inspiring vet care, is offering an exciting opportunity to join our team as part of a developing dentistry-focused service, where you can play a key role in shaping and delivering high-quality dental care.

This is more than a standard GP role—it's a chance to build your clinical interest in dentistry within a supportive, forward-thinking environment.

At inspiring vet care, our people are at the heart of everything we do. As the UK’s number one vet care provider, we're trusted with the care of over 2 million animals, delivering our purpose of healthier animals and happier owners.

Why This Role Stands Out

We are actively developing our dental offering, giving you the opportunity to:

Be part of a dedicated and growing dentistry service
Work with modern dental equipment, including dental radiography
Develop your skills in dental procedures, imaging, and treatment planning
Play a key role in promoting proactive dental care and best practice
Contribute to a more structured and efficient dental workflow
Additional qualifications in Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Surgery are not required, but this role would particularly suit a vet working towards—or holding—a dental certificate.

Your Role

You will enjoy a varied caseload with a balance of:

Consultations – including identifying and advising on dental cases
Surgery – with opportunities to increase your dental caseload
Dentistry – from routine procedures through to more advanced cases as you develop

You’ll be supported by an experienced team who are committed to clinical collaboration, mentorship, and knowledge sharing.

The Hours

40 hours per week over 4 days (8am–7pm)
1 in 5 Saturdays (8am–2pm)
No OOH or bank holidays
Open to part-time and flexible working patterns

You Might Be a Great Fit If...

You are a confident and motivated veterinary surgeon who enjoys working as part of a team and is committed to delivering high-quality patient and client care. You’ll bring:

* A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS

* Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases

* Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues

* A proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development

* Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

How We’ll Support You

* BVA membership, VDS cover & RCVS fees

* Cycle to Work and Green Car schemes (eligibility applies)
