What You’ll Do
As a Driver, you will:
- Operate autonomous vehicles safely and in compliance with all traffic laws to support real-world testing and data collection
- Continuously monitor vehicle systems and roadway conditions to ensure safe operation at all times
- Stay alert and ready to take control of the vehicle when necessary, especially in unexpected or high-risk situations
- Conduct pre- and post-drive vehicle inspections, ensuring all systems and safety equipment are fully operational
- Document observations and provide detailed reports to engineering and operations teams
- Collaborate with engineers, riders, and internal stakeholders by sharing insights and feedback from the field
- Maintain focus and remain distraction-free while actively monitoring vehicle performance
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of driving experience with a valid U.S. driver’s license
- Clean driving record (no DUIs or drug/alcohol-related offenses within the past 5 years)
- Experience in roles requiring high levels of driving precision and safety (e.g., autonomous vehicle operator, driving instructor, motorsports, commercial driving, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of local traffic laws and defensive driving techniques
- Ability to anticipate hazards and react quickly and safely in unpredictable situations
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
- Comfortable driving for extended periods in various weather and road conditions
- High level of ownership, accountability, and professionalism
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electric vehicles or autonomous vehicle systems
- Familiarity with vehicle technology, sensors, or control systems
- Certification in defensive driving or advanced safety training programs
