Job Description

ROLIM Global Corporation is hiring a Linguist (Dravidian/IndoAryan Specialist) for a Lifesciences/Healthcare Project.

Location: Remote - PST preferred

Key Requirements

  • PhD in Linguistics with specialization in theoretical linguistics (syntax, morphology, sociolinguistics, corpus linguistics, pragmatics, phonology).

  • Language proficiency: Near-native/native bilingual in Dravidian or Indo-Aryan language families. Fluency in both is the strongest profile.

  • Python and SQL: Must be able to code in Python and query databases.

  • Error analysis: Perform linguistic error analysis of AI model outputs, identify severe error categories, and provide actionable feedback.

  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration with engineers and researchers.

  • Experience contributing to research papers is valued.

 

Typical Duties

  • Conduct linguistic analyses on large datasets.

  • Perform error analysis of AI model outputs.

  • Write and revise annotation guidelines for translation and AI projects.

  • Conduct typological and sociolinguistic research across languages.

  • Perform Responsible AI analysis (toxic language, hate speech, gender bias).

  • Collaborate with native speakers and communicate findings to engineers.
