Role: Product Analytics Strategist

Duration: 12 Months

Location: Remote (MST/PST Only)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Product Analytics Strategist to help establish and scale product measurement across a portfolio of digital applications. This role will partner with product, business, UX, engineering, and data teams to define success metrics, understand key user journeys, translate business questions into measurement requirements, and develop scalable product analytics standards.

The ideal candidate combines strong product analytics expertise with enough technical knowledge to translate measurement needs into actionable instrumentation requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Product Analytics Strategy

• Lead discovery workshops with product owners and business stakeholders to understand product goals, users, workflows, and measurement needs.
• Define KPIs for product adoption, engagement, feature utilization, workflow completion, and business outcomes.
• Identify and prioritize key user journeys and product behaviors to measure.
• Distinguish product analytics needs from BI/reporting, operational monitoring, and other data requirements.

Measurement & Instrumentation

• Develop scalable measurement frameworks, event taxonomies, and tracking standards across multiple applications.
• Translate product requirements into event tracking plans and instrumentation specifications.
• Define common events and attributes while identifying application-specific measurement needs.
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure tracking accurately represents intended product behaviors and user context.
• Assess measurement gaps and recommend improvements to existing implementations.

Product Analytics Technology

• Evaluate platforms such as GA4, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Pendo, Adobe Analytics, or similar tools against product use cases.
• Recommend appropriate analytics solutions based on business requirements, architecture, scalability, and governance constraints.
• Identify opportunities to connect behavioral analytics with customer, account, and business outcome data.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Serve as a trusted product analytics advisor across product and technology teams.
• Facilitate measurement planning and prioritization across multiple product teams.
• Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Maintain clear documentation of requirements, standards, decisions, and implementation recommendations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Must Have

• Strong experience in product analytics, digital product measurement, or product strategy.
• Experience defining KPIs and measurement frameworks for digital products or applications.
• Strong understanding of user journeys, feature adoption, engagement, and behavioral analytics.
• Experience developing event-based tracking plans and instrumentation requirements.
• Experience with product or digital analytics platforms such as GA4, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Pendo, or Adobe Analytics.
• Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with product managers, engineers, UX teams, analysts, and business stakeholders.

Preferred

• Experience working across a portfolio of digital products or applications.
• Experience with B2B, authenticated, SaaS, or customer portal experiences.
• Familiarity with GTM, data layers, JavaScript, and web instrumentation.
• Experience with BI/data platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, BigQuery, Snowflake, or Databricks.
• Familiarity with analytics governance, experimentation, personalization, and privacy considerations.

In compliance with the salary transparency law, the expected pay range for this role is $40-45/hr. Actual compensation depends on experience and interview evaluation
