Job Description

Position Overview

The Accounts Receivable Lead will report directly to the Controller and will provide financial, administrative, and clerical support to the accounting department.  This position is key in establishing and maintaining successful relationships with new and existing customers.  This position must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, attitude of service and aptitude for teamwork with excellent communication skills, both written and oral displaying a professional and courteous demeanor. In addition to the Lead Accounts receivables responsibilities, this position is a critical back-up and support for Accounts Payables invoice processing.

Responsibilities

  • Managing all invoicing and accounts receivables for Paper and By-Products using accounting software and other programs.
  • Reviewing and maintaining current Accounts Receivables aging.
  • Timely resolution of issues.
  • Processing accounts payables invoicing.
  • Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures.
  • Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries, and reconciling books of accounts
  • Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payments, and other charges.
  • Paying vendors by scheduling payments and ensuring payments are received.
  • Responding to all vendor enquiries concerning payments in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining historical records.
  • Analyzing workflow processes.
  • Focus on continuous improvements in the accounts receivables and accounts payables processes.

 

Qualifications

· 
  • Associates degree in business or related field, experience in lieu of a degree may be considered. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years’ experience in an accounting or office manufacturing environment.  
  • Superior oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong team player who can effectively work with others to meet objectives and timelines.
  • Strong organizational and conceptual aptitude with attention to detail
  • Prioritization of time and department/project work
  • Use of self-initiative and independence to complete tasks with urgency and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Computer skills: MS Excel and MS Word and Accounts Receivable Invoicing and Accounts Payables Invoice Processing
