Solutions Architect / Data Architect

Introduction:

We are looking for a Senior Solutions/Data Architect with expertise in Snowflake to join our team in Dublin, CA. The ideal candidate will play a key role in building a modern data platform and facilitating the migration from Netezza to Snowflake.

Responsibilities:

• Design Snowflake data solutions and architecture
• Define data models and Medallion data layers
• Guide ingestion, transformation, and publishing processes
• Create quick Proof of Concepts (POCs) and assess technical solutions
• Collaborate with IT, Data, business stakeholders, and SI partners
• Offer architecture guidance across Data & Analytics projects
• Support business use cases, dashboards, and data security

Requirements:

Required Skills:

• Strong Snowflake architecture experience
• Data Architecture & Data Modeling expertise
• Medallion Architecture knowledge
• Experience with DBT and data transformation
• Data ingestion and Change Data Capture (CDC) proficiency
• Understanding of Snowflake security measures
• Proficiency in Python for quick POCs
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with StreamSets
• Familiarity with Alation or Data Governance tools
• Knowledge of Power BI or MicroStrategy
• Prior experience with Netezza migration
• Background in Retail industry

Important: Candidates must have hands-on experience in Snowflake architecture and data modeling, as well as the ability to work effectively at a senior architecture level.
