Job Description

Payrate: $80.00 - $85.00/hr.
 
Summary:
This role involves contributing to the work group by assisting in new program development and maintaining existing mobile, WEB, Cloud, server, and computing systems. The position reports to the Software Engineering Manager and requires significant interaction with the Scrum team and other teams as needed.
 
Responsibilities
  • Participate in Agile team and Scrum activities.
  • Perform programming, development, integration, and system administration assignments independently.
  • Design, code, test, and debug programs of high complexity.
  • Configure or customize purchased software solutions of high complexity.
  • Provide leadership and guidance in project management, programming, systems, and system administration.
  • Identify and resolve complex application/technical problems, including off-shift and weekend support.
  • Develop major system modules, programs, or infrastructure based on customer requirements.
  • Perform integrated and customer acceptance testing of system components.
  • Integrate tasks for in-house developed systems or purchased hardware and software solutions.
  • Assist customers with documentation, training, and usability efforts.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, plus 8 years of experience.
  • Master’s degree plus 6 years of experience.
  • 8 years or more of software development experience or at least 6 years with a master’s degree.
  • 8 years or more of experience in Java or at least 6 years with a master’s degree.
  • At least three years of experience developing in AWS.
  • Experience with Gen AI for software development.
 
Skills
  • Designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining software at scale.
  • Experience with Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Developing software applications using relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Application architectural patterns (MVC, Microservices, Event-driven).
  • Deploying software using CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
  • Experience with batch or stream processing systems (AWS SQS, AWS SNS, Kinesis).
  • Designing well-defined Restful APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with API tools (Swagger, Postman, Assertible).
  • Test-driven development and behavior-driven development.
  • Hands-on experience with testing tools (Selenium, Cucumber).
  • Experience with datastores (DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, Elasticsearch, MySQL, Oracle).
  • Solid knowledge of computer science fundamentals like data structures and algorithms.
  • Ability to work under pressure and within time constraints.
  • Passion for technology and eagerness to contribute to a team-oriented environment.
 
Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $80.00 - $85.00 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages. Packages may include medical, dental, and vision benefits, health savings accounts with qualified medical plan enrollment, 10 paid days off, 3 days paid bereavement leave, 401(k) plan participation with employer match, life and disability insurance, commuter benefits, dependent care flexible spending account, accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, accommodations and reimbursement for work travel, and discretionary performance or recognition bonus.
