We are seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team at skilled nursing facilities across New Mexico. This is a fantastic opportunity for hardworking, compassionate nurses who are ready to take the next step in their careers and provide exceptional care to residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily nursing functions in compliance with company policies and state, federal, and local regulations
- Admit, transfer, and discharge residents with proper documentation of care and services provided
- Support and orient new residents and their families to the facility
- Participate in facility surveys and inspections as scheduled
- Ensure delivery of high-quality care, positive clinical outcomes, and resident/family satisfaction
Clinical Skills & Competencies
- Specialized Care: NG tube insertion, placement, irrigation; colostomy care; Foley catheter care; straight catheterization
- Tube Feeding: Setup and monitoring of feeding pumps, intake/output calculations, dietary compliance, weight monitoring, abdominal assessments
- Patient Care Techniques: Positioning, transfer assistance, range of motion (ROM) exercises
- Emergency Response: Oxygen administration, suctioning, CPR, glucometer checks
- IV Therapy: Site care, saline lock management, mixing/hanging/administering IV solutions, infusion pump operation
- Advanced Procedures: Suctioning (tracheotomy, nasotracheal), tracheotomy care, gastrostomy care, sterile techniques
- Lab & Infection Control: Specimen collection, isolation procedures, and infection prevention
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New Mexico or compact state eligibility)
- Strong clinical, communication, and critical-thinking skills
- Compassionate and committed to delivering high-quality patient care
- Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred, but not required
- Current & valid US RN license in the state of the facility location
- BLS upon hire
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Able to handle pressure, multi-task, and prioritize
- Previous work experience, preferred
- Working knowledge of electronic health records, preferred
- Must be willing to work in New Mexico
- Support from experienced immigration lawyers and nurse mentors
