Controls Engineer

Controls / Automation Engineer Birmingham | £50,000–£70,000 | Permanent | Days We’re looking for a Controls / Automation Engineer to join a growing, highly automated manufacturing operation that has recently moved from NPI into high-volume production.

This is a fast-paced environment with extensive PLC, robotics, sensors, motion control, inspection and automated handling. The Role You’ll be hands-on, supporting the equipment, resolving faults and driving continuous improvement. You’ll work across:

PLC programming, fault-finding &amp; modifications<br />HMI, sensors, servo and motion systems<br />Robotics and automated equipment<br />Commissioning and optimisation<br />Root-cause analysis and continuous improvement<br />Improving reliability, throughput and OEEAbout You We’re open to experience across any major PLC platform, including Beckhoff, Siemens, Rockwell/Allen-Bradley or Mitsubishi.

You’ll need strong practical Controls / Automation experience and be comfortable getting into the PLC logic rather than simply identifying faults. Experience in high-volume manufacturing, automotive, plastics or FMCG would be advantageous. £50k–£70k | Permanent | Days | Birmingham
