Java Developer (Active Secret Clearance)

Overview:

• We are seeking a Java Software Engineer for a long-term Federal client engagement in Arlington, VA.
• The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and AWS, along with experience developing enterprise applications and backend services.
• This is a hybrid contract position requiring 2 days onsite per week.
• An Active Secret Clearance is mandatory.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and backend services.
• Build and support applications and services using AWS.
• Participate in software development, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with technical teams to deliver scalable and reliable software solutions.
• Apply strong software engineering practices within a Federal and enterprise development environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on experience with Java development.
• Experience with Spring Boot.
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience with AWS.
• Experience with enterprise application development and backend development.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working on Federal Government projects.
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise development environments.
• Experience supporting long-term Federal client engagements.
