Role: Apigee Consultant
Location: Remote 
Duration: 6+ Months 

 

Looking for a hands-on API Developer to migrate legacy Axway and Apigee Private Cloud/Edge APIs to Apigee Hybrid. The role focuses heavily on API development, integration rebuilding, CI/CD pipelines, and automation scripting while working under the guidance of internal architects.

Key must-haves:

• Strong Apigee / Axway experience
• Experience with Apigee Hybrid migration
• Strong API development & integration
• CI/CD and automation scripting
• Must work in alignment with the US team schedule
• Hands-on developer who can execute independently.

An experienced API/platform development engineer with Apigee hybrid migration experience, strong proxy development skills, Kubernetes and scripting capability, and the ability to work directly within a team environment.

Core technical skillsets

• Apigee hybrid / Apigee X experience: hands-on proxy migration, runtime, environments, deployment patterns, and operational troubleshooting
• API proxy development: building, refactoring, and migrating proxies; shared flows; policies; flow hooks; target endpoints; fault handling
• Cluster scripting / automation: scripting for deployment, configuration, environment setup, and operational tasks in Linux-based or cloud-native environments
• Kubernetes fundamentals: understanding of clusters, namespaces, pods, deployments, config maps, secrets, ingress, and troubleshooting
• CI/CD tooling: experience with pipeline-based deployment, version control, and release automation
• Cloud platform familiarity: Azure/AWS is ideal, but adjacent cloud experience helps if they understand containerized deployments and infrastructure automation
• Integration experience: REST/SOAP APIs, auth patterns, transformations, backend connectivity, and API lifecycle support
