Job Description

Payrate: $53.00 - $54.00/hr.
 
Summary:
This role contributes to the creation and optimization of software strategies, with a focus on documentation. The position offers an opportunity to make an immediate impact on client engine and aftertreatment software as part of a supportive and collaborative team.
 
Responsibilities
  • Engage with software programmers, mechatronics, and validation engineers to address engine control challenges.
  • Develop and document software strategies for various internal customers.
  • Participate in engine lab development activities and collaborate in person through meetings and team huddles.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor''s degree in computer science, software/mechatronic engineering, or a relevant field is required.
  • 2-4 years of industry experience, excluding internships.
  • Master’s degree holders must also have 2-4 years of experience.
  • Comparable roles include software developer and requirement management.
  • Basic ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software. Solid programming experience in C or C++
  • Knowledge of computer development software as it relates to embedded systems, such as SQL, VisualBasic, etc.


Skills
  • Proficiency in software development using Matlab and Simulink.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with hardware and software in the loop validation testing.
 
Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $53.00 - $54.00 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages. Packages may include medical, dental, and vision benefits, health savings accounts with qualified medical plan enrollment, 10 paid days off, 3 days paid bereavement leave, 401(k) plan participation with employer match,  life and disability insurance, commuter benefits, dependent care flexible spending account, accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, accommodations and reimbursement for work travel, and discretionary performance or recognition bonus. Sick leave and mobile phone reimbursement provided based on state or local law.
