Role Description:

• lead and support a strategic data modernization initiative.
• The role will focus on the migrating platform from Sybase to Microsoft SQL Server on Azure Cloud.
• The candidate should possess strong expertise in data architecture, data modeling, database migration, and Azure-based data platforms.
• Should be willing to work 3-5 Days/week from Weehawken, NJ client office

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Database Engineering roles.
• Strong expertise in Data Modeling (Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Models).
• Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration, optimization, and design.
• Strong knowledge of Sybase ASE and database migration methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale database and cloud migration projects.
• Experience designing enterprise data architectures for financial services or wealth management environments.
• Strong SQL development and performance tuning skills.
• Experience with data integration, ETL/ELT frameworks, and data quality processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work closely with business and technical teams in an onsite environment.
