Detailed Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, optimize, and secure enterprise Microsoft SQL Server environments supporting high-volume production workloads. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing large-scale databases, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and optimal database performance.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, patch, and upgrade Microsoft SQL Server environments.
• Manage high availability and disaster recovery using AlwaysOn, failover clustering, replication, and log shipping.
• Perform database backup, restoration, and recovery operations.
• Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and T-SQL optimization.
• Monitor database health, troubleshoot production issues, and perform root cause analysis.
• Implement database security, access controls, and compliance standards.
• Support application releases and validate database changes.
• Perform capacity planning and forecasting.
• Support Azure SQL and cloud-based database deployments.
• Manage large-scale databases handling 30+ TB of data and high transaction volumes.
