Job description
About The Role
Right across infrastructure, there's a requirement to not only maintain, but also renew and reimagine. Whatever stage you're at in your career, with us you'll have an opportunity to grow and develop. Delivering essential infrastructure services for life, while being safety first, and client and customer centric in a friendly, fun and respectful environment where you are encouraged to thrive.
Where will you be working?
We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We're problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.
This role will be within our Water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.
Want to be a part of it?
What will you be doing?
As a Project Delivery Manager, you will lead and manage a local delivery team, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards throughout the entire project lifecycle. Reporting to the Lead Delivery Manager, you'll take ownership of project governance, commercial performance, and programme delivery, ensuring all activities are completed in line with client requirements, contractual obligations, and scheme deliverables.
We'll need you to oversee the successful transition of project information from the Principal Designer to the construction teams, carrying out assurance reviews to ensure information is accurate, complete, and ready for delivery. Working closely with internal stakeholders, clients, and supply chain partners, you will drive efficient project execution while maintaining strong control of costs, risks, and programme milestones.
A key part of the role will be promoting and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and wellbeing across all project activities. You'll ensure compliance with CDM Regulations, company policies, and all relevant statutory requirements, while taking local responsibility for the safe delivery of construction works.
You'll also ensure compliance with environmental legislation and company policies, embedding sustainable and responsible practices throughout project delivery. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining high-quality installation standards, ensuring Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) are implemented and adhered to, and that all completed works meet both client and business expectations.
