Job Description

Workstation Support Technician

Summary
The Workstation Support Technician is responsible for providing hands-on support for end?user computing equipment, including the delivery, installation, maintenance, and disposal of workstation assets. This role ensures that computer hardware and related peripherals are deployed efficiently, tracked accurately, and managed in accordance with company standards.

Major Duties

  • Deliver, install, and set up new desktop and laptop PCs, monitors, docking stations, and other peripherals for end users.
  • Assist with the disposal and decommissioning of workstation equipment following established procedures.
  • Manage and maintain inventory of workstation hardware, including receiving, organizing, storing, and tracking assets.
  • Perform workstation moves, including disconnecting, transporting, and reconnecting equipment as needed.
  • Ensure all equipment is labeled, documented, and updated in inventory systems.
  • Provide basic workstation troubleshooting and support during deployments or moves.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure proper configuration, imaging, and readiness of devices before delivery.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and storage environment.
  • Follow safety standards and company policies during handling and transport of equipment.

Education & Experiences
 HS diploma with 1-2 years related experience.

Skills and Knowledge Entry level PC hardware and software knowledge. Ability to follow instructions and perform software installation procedures. Ability to work independently and efficiently without immediate supervision. Be familiar with the company’s safety and health policy and program.

Physical Requirements
The employee must be able to :

  • Remain in a stationary position, walk, kneel and crouch.
