• 12 month contract with very high chance of extensions
• Mascot location with 2 days per week in the office

Network Security Engineer

Level: Mid to Senior

Contract Duration:12 months with a strong possibility of extensions

Location:Sydney - Mascot 2 days on site

Role Overview:

The Network Security Engineer will join two of our clients on a 12-month contract that is highly likely to extend long term.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in routing and switching with solid experience with security and firewalls. They will also have demonstratable experience with project delivery.

Responsibilities:

Networking Expertise:

• Demonstrate proficiency in both Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex networking issues.

Project Work:

• Collaborate with project teams to implement new wireless solutions and network enhancements.
• Ensure successful project delivery, meeting deadlines and exceeding client expectations.

Skills and experience required:

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking technologies.
• Fortinet / FortiGate
• F5 Load Balancer
• Security fundamentals (IPSec, Client VPN, etc)
• Routing and Switching (for fundamental network experience)

Certifications:

• ITIL certification is a plus.

Communication and Collaboration:

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Problem-Solving:

• Proven ability to analyse and troubleshoot complex network issues in a timely manner.
