Job Description:
Seeking experienced IT Audit professionals to support a large global bank's regulatory remediation and consent order validation efforts. This role requires an independent auditor who can quickly assess risk, develop testing strategies, and execute with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate regulatory finding remediation activities, develop a test strategy, and execute test procedures to assess whether Consent Order corrective actions effectively address regulatory concerns
• Understand and apply knowledge of Audit AML and Financial Crimes technology environments, including transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, KYC/CDD, and related systems to regulatory validations.
• Perform IT audit testing activities, including evaluating IT governance, IT change management, IT operations, and data controls.
• Conduct targeted substantive testing and risk-based audit procedures to validate the design and operating effectiveness of remediation efforts performed to address regulatory findings.
• Deep dive into model validation, controls testing, and remediation activities, challenging assumptions and evaluating outcomes.
• Review technical documentation, system configurations, data flows, and code to assess risk and support audit conclusions.
• Identify root causes, develop meaningful observations, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Produce regulator-ready audit documentation capable of withstanding Internal Audit, Regulatory, and External Audit scrutiny.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of IT Audit experience within Banking or Financial Services.
• Proven ability to independently lead and execute audit testing with little to no hand-holding.
• Strong experience with consent order validation, issue remediation, and regulatory programs.
• Deep expertise in AML, Financial Crimes, controls testing, model validation, and risk assessment.
• Experience performing targeted substantive testing and evaluating complex control environments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, system architecture, data flows, and code.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
