Insurance Architect

Salary: Up to £75,000 + benefits

Locations: London, Bristol or Bath

Working pattern: Hybrid, with travel to client sites

Level: Consultant / Associate Manager

We are recruiting an experienced Insurance Architect to join the Insurance and Financial Services practice of a leading global consultancy.

You will help shape and deliver complex digital transformation programmes for major insurers, life and pensions providers, wealth managers and financial-services organisations.

The role

As an Insurance Architect, you will:
  • Develop current-state and target-state architectures, transition plans and technology roadmaps.
  • Produce solution designs, integration patterns, capability maps and architecture documentation.
  • Work across applications, data, cloud, integration, AI and cyber security.
  • Translate business requirements into practical technology solutions.
  • Support cloud migrations, platform transformations and digital change across areas such as underwriting and claims.
  • Advise senior business and technology stakeholders on architecture and platform decisions.
  • Contribute to proofs of concept, thought leadership and internal capability development.
  • Collaborate with wider consulting, technology and delivery teams.
What we're looking for
  • At least five years' experience in technology-focused roles.
  • Experience within insurance, financial services or another regulated industry.
  • Knowledge of solution or technical architecture across applications, integration, data, cloud or security.
  • Understanding of data modelling, governance, migration, integration and visualisation.
  • Familiarity with modern data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake.
  • Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills.
  • The ability to explain technical decisions clearly to both business and technical audiences.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally internationally.
