Senior Robotics Engineer, Maritime | Quincy, MA, United States | Hybrid
We're hiring on behalf of a defense technology company that is revolutionizing military capabilities with advanced technology. What You'll Do
- Design and implement robust navigation, collision avoidance, and situational awareness systems tailored for complex maritime environments.
- Develop and integrate scalable sub-systems including advanced sensor processing, perception, tracking, and motion planning.
- Contribute to the creation of reusable software components across various product lines, promoting efficiency and consistency.
- Leverage cutting-edge techniques in computer vision, sensor fusion, and machine learning to enhance autonomous vehicle capabilities.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of algorithms through simulation and real-world data analysis, evolving data analysis tooling as needed.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software, mechanical, and systems engineers, to ensure seamless system integration.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in C++ and/or Python software development.
- Familiarity with autonomous vehicle hardware and sensors, such as radar, sonar, LIDAR, and cameras.
- Demonstrated knowledge in areas such as computer vision, sensor fusion, SLAM, motion planning, or machine learning.
- Proven experience in a senior perception or planning role for robotic system delivery.
- Ability to act as a technical owner for a system, managing the full product lifecycle from definition to evolution.
