Job Title: Databricks Solution Architect
Location: Dallas, Texas
Type: Direct Hire

Overview
We are seeking a strategic Databricks Solutions Architect to lead the design and implementation of modern data and AI solutions for our enterprise clients.
This is a technical leadership role responsible for translating complex customer requirements into scalable Databricks-based architectures, driving pre-sales proposals, and building high-performing technical teams. You will work with clients, sales teams, and delivery organizations to architect solutions that leverage the full Databricks platform, including Lakehouse, Unity Catalog, AI/ML tools, and data governance capabilities.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise with the Databricks platform, 10+ years of experience with data platform technologies, and a proven track record architecting and delivering enterprise data solutions. 
This position is located in our Dallas, TX office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of modern data and AI solutions leveraging the Databricks platform for enterprise clients.
  • Conduct current state assessments of customer data environments and deliver future state architecture recommendations.
  • Design enterprise-grade data solutions covering ingestion, transformation, governance, analytics, and AI/ML workloads.
  • Create detailed technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and implementation roadmaps for complex engagements.
  • Lead technical discovery sessions with prospects, understanding data infrastructure and strategic priorities.
  • Author technical sections of proposals, RFPs, and SOWs that articulate solutions and value propositions.
  • Deliver technical presentations and proof of concept demonstrations to executive and technical audiences.
  • Build and mentor high performing technical teams of data engineers, analysts, and junior architects.
  • Lead solution delivery from kickoff through deployment, ensuring quality, schedule, and customer satisfaction.
  • Establish technical standards, best practices, and governance for Databricks implementations.
  • Drive adoption of Databricks AI tools and architect governance and security solutions.
  • Guide customers on best practices for optimization, cost management, and performance tuning.
  • Stay current on Databricks roadmap and emerging capabilities, translating innovations into customer opportunities.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of hands on experience with Databricks platform, including Lakehouse, Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, and Delta Live Tables.
  • 10+ years of experience architecting and implementing enterprise data solutions with modern data platforms.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and their data services.
  • Strong foundation in data engineering, SQL, Apache Spark, Python, and distributed computing concepts.
  • Experience building data models, designing ETL/ELT pipelines, and implementing governance frameworks.
  • Expertise in machine learning operations, AI/ML use cases, and modern AI platforms.
  • Proven experience leading technical teams and mentoring junior staff.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to executive stakeholders.
  • Experience managing large enterprise engagements and multiple work streams.
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to work through ambiguity.
