Position Type: Contract-to-Perm (40 hrs/week, 27.2 weeks initial duration)

Max Rate: $53-60/hr

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SOC Engineer with strong Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) expertise to join our Cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Security Operations Center (SOC) monitoring, incident response, threat detection, and vulnerability management, along with a solid understanding of IT ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, Third-Party Vendor Risk Management, and Risk Assessments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Custom Skills (EXPERT/ADVANCED/NONE:

1. SIEM Platforms: Experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar, or LogRhythm (Advanced).
2. EDR Tools: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, or SentinelOne (Advanced).
3. Network & Endpoint Security: Knowledge of network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, email security, and endpoint protection (Advanced).
4. Incident & Vulnerability Management: Experience in incident response, threat analysis, and vulnerability management (Advanced).
5. Security Frameworks: Understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework and cyber kill chain concepts (Advanced).
6. Cloud Security: Familiarity with cloud security concepts across Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (Advanced).
