Senior Technology and Model Risk Manager - Insurance

Genworth is seeking a Senior Technology & Model Risk Manager to lead oversight of technology, data, and model risk across its insurance and financial services platforms. In this role, you will design and enhance risk frameworks, policies, and controls that safeguard long-term care, mortgage, and protection products. You will partner with IT, actuarial, data science, and business leaders to assess critical models, third-party technologies, and cloud solutions, ensuring regulatory compliance and strong governance. Responsibilities

• Lead technology and model risk framework design, implementation, and oversight across business lines.
• Assess, monitor, and report on model, data, and technology risks, including third-party and cloud risks.
• Develop and maintain risk policies, standards, and key risk indicators aligned with regulatory expectations.
• Partner with IT, data, actuarial, and business leaders to challenge and improve controls and risk practices.
• Drive risk assessments, scenario analysis, and issue remediation plans for critical systems and models.
• Prepare clear risk reports and presentations for senior management, risk committees, and regulators.
• Coordinate independent validation, testing, and audits of key models and technology controls.
• Advise on change initiatives, new products, and technology implementations from a risk perspective.
• Mentor junior risk staff and promote a strong risk-aware and compliance-focused culture.
• Continuously improve risk tools, analytics, and documentation to support decision-making.
