Senior Solution Architect
Remote

We are seeking a visionary and experienced IT Solution Architect with a strong background in mainframe modernization and strategic road-mapping.
This individual will play a critical role in shaping the technology strategy, driving digital transformation initiatives, and creating scalable IT solutions that align with the organization's goals.
The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking leader who blends deep technical expertise with strong business acumen to modernize legacy systems and guide architectural decisions that future-proof IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain enterprise-wide IT architecture frameworks, ensuring they align with business objectives and industry best practices. Develop AI-Enabled solutions for modernization
  • Provide architectural governance and guidance for new and existing IT projects
  • Lead the modernization of mainframe systems, including migration strategies, platform upgrades, and legacy application transformation
  • Evaluate and implement technologies such as cloud platforms, containerization, microservices, and APIs for replacing or enhancing mainframe workloads
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure business continuity during modernization
  • Create and manage IT roadmaps that define short-term and long-term goals for infrastructure, systems, and processes
  • Integrate enterprise architecture efforts into corporate strategies to ensure IT is contributing to the achievement of business objectives
  • Continuously monitor emerging trends and technologies to refine the roadmap and identify opportunities for innovation
  • Act as a key liaison between business leaders, technical teams, vendors, and decision-makers, ensuring alignment between business needs and technology implementations
  • Provide technical guidance and support to development teams, architects, and other technology professionals involved in modernization initiatives
  • Conduct assessments of current IT systems, tools, and platforms to provide recommendations for modernization and optimization
  • Explore and recommend solutions for legacy system replacement with an emphasis on scalability, reliability, security, and cost-efficiency
  • Identify potential risks related to system modernization and propose mitigation plans
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and industry regulations, especially during migration and architectural updates
  • Develop clear documentation, including architectural blueprints, models, workflows, and diagrams to support modernization and roadmap initiatives
  • Communicate technical concepts in a manner that is understandable to stakeholders at all levels
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in IT architecture and design.
  • Good knowledge in mainframe technologies (e.g, COBOL, CICS, DB2, etc.) and modernization strategies (e.g., cloud migration, API integration, DevOps, etc.)
  • Proven track record of delivering enterprise architecture roadmaps and technology transformation initiatives
  • Knowledge of modernization tools and platforms (Azure, Kubernetes, modernization middleware, API gateway solutions)
  • Proficiency in enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or others
  • Familiarity with programming languages, database management systems, and legacy application refactoring.
Education : At least a bachelor s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field is required for the project
