Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Hardware Engineer with strong expertise in power electronics, analog and digital circuit design, hardware testing, troubleshooting, and board bring-up activities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting electronic hardware development, prototyping, validation, and testing.

Experience with Oil & Gas downhole electronics is preferred.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop analog and power electronic circuits.

  • Apply a strong understanding of digital, analog, and power circuits to hardware development.

  • Perform board bring-up, prototyping, hardware validation, and debugging activities.

  • Review and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

  • Troubleshoot complex circuit and hardware failures using appropriate debugging tools.

  • Perform functional testing and circuit analysis using laboratory test equipment.

  • Develop and execute hardware test plans and prepare detailed test reports and customer deliverables.

  • Support product development, testing, validation, and troubleshooting activities.

  • Develop and maintain documentation related to hardware testing and validation.

  • Support test automation activities using C, C++, or Python.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams during product development and testing.

 

Required Qualifications

  • 6–8 years of relevant Electrical/Electronics Hardware Engineering experience.

  • Strong understanding of analog, digital, and power circuits.

  • Hands-on experience with analog and power circuit design.

  • Experience with board bring-up and hardware prototyping.

  • Strong schematic and wiring diagram interpretation skills.

  • Experience troubleshooting complex electronic circuits and hardware.

  • Hands-on experience with electronic test and measurement equipment.

  • Experience preparing test plans, test procedures, and test reports.

  • Basic programming/test automation experience using C, C++, or Python.

  • Must be a due to ITAR requirements.

  • Must be available to work onsite in Houston, TX.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing and testing Oil & Gas downhole electronics.

  • Experience with circuit simulation tools.

  • Experience with hardware validation and product qualification testing.

  • Experience working with customer-facing technical deliverables.

 

Test Equipment Experience

Experience with the following is preferred:

  • Oscilloscope

  • Digital Multimeter (DMM)

  • Power Supply

  • Electronic Load (E-Load)

  • Signal Generator

  • Oven / Environmental Test Equipment

 

 

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
