Instructional Designer

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Instructional Designer in San Antonio, TX.

Key Tasks

• Designs training programs, including classroom lectures, online courses, and self-study sessions, directed at employees, organization members, or those who use the organization's products or services
• Develops and updates course content and coordinates learning curriculum
• Conducts assessment and analysis to identify new development needs and recommends training methods accordingly
• Maintains in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of the related field
• Prioritize assignments and tasks in Project Management software (JWM), maintain transparent documentation on progress and actions taken/next steps to move assignments forward timely
• Create interactive facilitator led content for highly technical advanced property claims training, or standalone digital content using a variety of tools like Articulate 360 (Storyline/Rise - simulations), video, and other multimedia tools to develop training
• Review data to identify performance gaps
• Work with SMEs and teammates to determine root cause and create solutions that drive optimal performance
• Prioritize multiple concurrent assignments and create high-quality learning deliverables on time or early
• Identify roadblocks and raise risks with potential solutions
• Act with a sense of urgency and ownership in a collaborative team environment
• Apply adult learning principles and training strategies to break down complex advanced property claims skills into digestible topics to accelerate performance using a variety of tools and approaches to satisfy the learning, performance, and business needs
• Emphasis on rapid prototyping and lean effective solutions that drive meaningful, measurable results

REQUIREMENTS

• Instructional Design strategies - 2 years
• Collaborating with SMEs - 2 years
• Curriculum Development (facilitator led, eLearning, etc.)
• 2 years
• Claims or property construction experience - or experience building claims training is a plus
• Articulate 360, Adobe products (premiere, audition, photoshop), PowerPoint, project mgt software
• Proactive, seeks out work, good collaborator and communicator, a team player
• High organization and attention to detail
• Stable internet and available to work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
