On behalf of UMG, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer for a 12 month contract based in London (3 days per week) / remote working (Hybrid).

How we LEAD:

• We are currently seeking an eager and collaborative DevOps Engineer / Platform Engineer to join our Architecture & Engineering organization. This role will contribute to the Engineering Excellence Initiative, an enterprise program focused on improving software delivery, cloud platform capabilities, security, architecture standards, and developer productivity. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem and a strong interest in modern DevOps and platform engineering practices.

How you'll CREATE:

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following functions in the Architecture & Engineering organization: -

• Utilize technical skills and tools to coordinate, maintain, enhance, and deploy cloud-based solutions while following corporate standards and best practices.
• Work within a DevOps team to meet project objectives in a timely fashion.
• Update project status reports (progress/risks/issues/roadblocks) as required by Senior Management.
• Use DevOps methodology and toolsets to implement and support solutions in AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Ensure cloud resources meet UMG's operational requirements and are in compliance with UMG infrastructure and security standards.
• Oversee vendors work efforts on implementations.
• Compile and remediate vulnerabilities identified by the securities team.

Bring your VIBE:

• Enterprise experience across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes and related technologies including EKS, GKE, Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, Cortex, and Istio.
• Experience with Git-based version control and release management (GitHub, Bitbucket, SVN).
• Hands-on knowledge of DevOps tools and practices, including Terraform, Chef, Vault, Jira, Slack, and Python.
• Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, Tekton, Spinnaker, Octopus Deploy, and CodeDeploy.
• Proficiency managing Linux and Windows environments.

• Experience delivering cloud and infrastructure projects within enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Strong practical experience with Terraform, Chef, Git, Vault, Jira, and Confluence.
• Experience with Kubernetes platforms (EKS, GKE) and containerised environments.
• Hands-on experience with EC2, Compute Engine, Lambda, RDS, and related cloud services.
• Scripting experience using Python, PowerShell, Bash, Golang, and cloud CLIs.
• Experience supporting Linux (AWS Linux, Ubuntu, SLES) and Windows environments.
