The Role
You'll be responsible for engineering and automating cloud infrastructure, enabling fast, secure and reliable delivery across complex environments.
Key responsibilities of the DevOps engineer:
- Design, build and manage cloud infrastructure across Azure or GCP
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery
- Support containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Develop automation scripts (Python, Bash, Shell)
- Work within cross-functional DevOps / SRE teams to improve system reliability and scalability
- Apply DevOps best practices across monitoring, logging and deployment
- 2+ years experience in DevOps / Platform Engineering
- Hands-on with: Azure or GCP, Terraform (or similar IaC tools) and CI/CD tooling
- Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Scripting experience (Python, Bash or similar)
- Solid understanding of Linux, networking and cloud architecture
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
- £45,000 - £60,000 base
