Overview

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager / Technical Program Manager to lead execution for a large-scale Headless Commerce initiative. This role will operate within the Engineering organization and be responsible for driving delivery, coordinating dependencies, managing releases, and ensuring successful execution across multiple engineering teams.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical understanding with exceptional program management capabilities and has experience delivering customer-facing ecommerce platforms and digital experiences. This is a highly execution-focused role requiring someone who can establish delivery rigor, remove blockers, align stakeholders, and drive teams toward a successful Q1 go-live and stabilization period.

Responsibilities

• Lead program execution for a strategic Headless Commerce initiative.
• Coordinate delivery across multiple engineering teams and technical workstreams.
• Drive sprint planning, backlog grooming, execution tracking, and release planning.
• Manage cross-team dependencies, risks, and technical blockers.
• Partner with Engineering Leaders, Architects, and Business Stakeholders to align priorities and delivery timelines.
• Establish program governance, status reporting, and executive-level communications.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and ensure effective delivery practices across teams.
• Track milestones, deliverables, and release readiness activities.
• Drive issue resolution and escalation management when necessary.
• Coordinate launch readiness, hypercare, and post-production stabilization activities.
• Improve planning accuracy, delivery predictability, and engineering execution processes.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Engineering Management, or Technical Delivery leadership roles.
• Proven success leading large-scale software delivery programs.
• Experience supporting ecommerce, digital commerce, customer experience, or consumer-facing platforms.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and Agile methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engineering teams and complex dependency networks.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience driving releases, launches, and post-production stabilization efforts.
• Strong organizational, planning, and execution capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering Headless Commerce or composable commerce platforms.
• Understanding of modern web architectures and customer-facing digital platforms.
• Familiarity with React, Next.js, GraphQL, APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications.
• Experience with ecommerce functions such as product catalog, search, browse, checkout, customer account management, and order lifecycle workflows.
• Experience supporting large-scale production launches and platform modernization initiatives.
