The job in a nutshell: Essentially, your job will be to make sure multiple bespoke manufacturing projects move smoothly through the business from design and procurement through to manufacture and installation. Youll take responsibility for planning and coordinating the production programme, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and within allocated budgets. Working closely with the Design, Workshop, Installation, Estimating and Procurement teams, youll coordinate workloads, resources, materials and project information to keep everything moving in line with agreed deadlines. Day to day, youll be responsible for: Managing projects through the full internal production process. Developing, managing and prioritising the production programme. Coordinating production workload, capacity and resource requirements. Working with Design to ensure drawings and technical information are available when required. Coordinating with Procurement to ensure materials are ordered and available on time. Monitoring project progress, manufacturing hours and costs against agreed budgets. Identifying potential delays, capacity issues, material shortages and cost overruns early. Working closely with the Workshop Manager to communicate and achieve manufacturing priorities. Coordinating with the Installation Manager to ensure completed works are ready for delivery and installation. Maintaining accurate project, production and scheduling information within the ERP system. Providing management with clear updates on progress, costs, risks and resource requirements. Promoting safe working practices across production activities. Supporting continuous improvements across productivity, quality, planning and manufacturing efficiency. Should you apply? We think candidates with previous experience as a Production Manager, Project Manager, Manufacturing Manager or similar should apply. Ideally, youll come from a bespoke joinery, furniture manufacturing, fit-out or similar manufacturing environment, with strong experience in project management, production planning and scheduling. You should be comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously and have experience monitoring labour hours, project budgets, resources and production costs. Youll also ideally have: The ability to interpret technical and manufacturing drawings. Experience using ERP/MRP or production management systems. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and production planning tools. Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills. The ability to coordinate effectively across Design, Procurement, Workshop and Installation teams. A strong understanding of safe working practices within a manufacturing environment.
