Job Description

Job Title: M&A UC Integration Engineer

Location: LATAM Nearshore (Mexico, Canada, or Colombia preferred)

Job Type: Contract

Experience: 5+ years

Job Overview

 

This role is responsible for the planning, design, implementation, and support of M365 migrations which support business acquisitions and divestitures. The engineer will either perform or oversee vendor resources for all migration activities in IT projects related M365 migrations. They ensure the integrity of the discovery and planning phase and ensure that appropriate testing has been performed before production moves take place. Finally, while working closely with the project manager, OCM, and other project stakeholders, they will deliver a minimally intrusive migration experience and hypercare support.

 PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

·         Resolve Microsoft 365 support tickets and requests using ServiceNow ticketing system

·         Provide engineering and research support for all Microsoft 365 products and maintains passable understand of Google Workspace

·         Create and maintain technical documentation related to migrations

·         Manage multiple migration efforts simultaneously

·         Implements and manages migration tool servers and infrastructure within the scope of activity of each migration project

·         Maintains Information Security Strategy Awareness across the scope of technologies they support for migration activities and understands the GDATS organizational structure and culture to best attain objectives and results

·         Acts as the Subject Matter Expert for migration tools such as BitTitan MigrationWiz, Quest On-Demand Migrations (ODM), Sharegate and native Microsoft migration capabilities

·         Collaborates across multiple teams to ensure successful delivery of results based on scope of work

·         Creates, maintains and communicate technical documentation and migration statuses regularly

·         Provides time estimates, budget forecasting and project scopes for related projects

·         Identifies project risks and potential solutions with minimizing impact

·         Delivers automated setup practices and well defined SOPs focusing on full automation of the implementation process where possible

·         Works with business partners to understand business needs and incorporate those into overall strategic planning

 Preferred Certifications:

·         Microsoft IT Certifications e.g. Certified Engineer, Microsoft Certified IT Professional

·         Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

·         Application/Infrastructure/Enterprise Architect Training and Certification, e.g. TOGAF

·         Cloud Infrastructure Certification e.g. Azure Solution Architect Expert Certification

·         Networking, Network convergence & Network Security & Compliance (CCNA)

·         Enterprise IT Certification e.g. CGEIT

WORK EXPERIENCE:

·         5+ years of directly-related or relevant experience, preferably in IT Infrastructure design.
