FactSet Business Analyst – Asset Management

Location: London – hybrid working

Contract: Initial 3 months, with potential to extend for a further 18 months

We are urgently seeking an experienced FactSet Business Analyst to support a leading asset management organisation in London.

This role requires a combination of strong business analysis skills and hands-on FactSet configuration experience . You will work closely with business users and technology teams to understand requirements, translate these into practical system changes and ensure the platform supports business needs.

Key responsibilities

1. Gather, analyse and document business requirements relating to FactSet.
2. Translate requirements into functional specifications and FactSet configuration changes .
3. Undertake hands-on configuration, working with stakeholders to validate the resulting functionality.
4. Review existing workflows and identify opportunities to improve how FactSet supports users.
5. Support testing and UAT, investigate issues and help resolve configuration defects.
6. Maintain clear documentation covering requirements, configuration and agreed changes.
7. Liaise with business stakeholders, technology teams and vendor support throughout delivery.

Essential experience

1. Proven experience as a Business Analyst within asset or investment management .
2. Strong, demonstrable hands-on FactSet configuration experience , beyond end-user familiarity or requirements gathering.
3. Ability to explain specific FactSet configuration changes you have personally delivered and the business requirements they addressed.
4. Experience translating business needs into system requirements and functional solutions.
5. Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation and communication skills.
6. Experience supporting testing, UAT and issue resolution.
7. Ability to work independently and contribute quickly within an urgent delivery environment.
