We are seeking2 Lead Security Analysts / Cyber Threat Analyststo join a specialist cyber security environment focused on protecting critical systems and responding to evolving cyber threats. This is a12-month contract with potential extensions, working across security operations, threat analysis, vulnerability management and incident response.
What you'll do- Conductthreat-driven security analysisof systems and environments.
- Analyse threat intelligence to identify system-specific cyber threats and risks.
- Monitor security events and investigate potential security incidents.
- Develop and maintainincident response plans and playbooks.
- Analyse security vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate remediation solutions.
- Review existing security controls and identify potential weaknesses.
- Develop procedures for monitoring and analysing security information and events.
- Support the planning and execution oftest and evaluation activitiesfor systems and products.
- Work closely with technical teams and security leadership to strengthen security posture.
- Provide technical support and advice to security leadership as required.
- Demonstrated experience working within aSecurity Operations Centre (SOC)as a Security Analyst.
- Strong hands-on experience withSplunk Enterprise Security.
- Experience withEndpoint Detection and Response (EDR)platforms.
- Experience withNetwork Detection and Response (NDR)platforms.
- Experience withSecurity Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR)platforms.
- Strong understanding of threat analysis, security monitoring, vulnerability assessment and incident response.
- Knowledge of Australian Government information security policies, theASD Information Security Manual (ISM)andEssential Eightis desirable.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a highly security-focused environment.
- Current TSPV security clearance is mandatory
