Technical Director, Electrical Engineering
Our Client is experiencing significant growth across the UK, Europe and the Middle East. Their expanding portfolio of mission critical and data centre projects presents an exciting opportunity for a senior technical leader to influence the future direction of their engineering capability and technical standards.
This role offers the opportunity to become the senior electrical technical authority within a rapidly growing specialist consultancy. The successful candidate will shape engineering excellence, mentor teams, support project delivery and provide technical assurance across major international projects.
They are specifically seeking a highly respected technical authority who remains actively involved in engineering design, technical problem solving, mentoring and project delivery.
This is an office based leadership role. The successful candidate will be required to work from our London office every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday as a minimum. This requirement is non-negotiable and forms an essential part of the role.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership, undertake design reviews, support detailed engineering calculations, mentor engineers, lead technical governance, support project delivery and maintain consistency of technical standards across multiple concurrent projects.
Technical Expertise Required
Extensive experience in mission critical electrical systems including HV and MV infrastructure, standby generation, UPS systems, critical power distribution, protection studies, fault level analysis, earthing systems, resilience strategies and utility interfaces.
Essential Experience
Degree qualified Electrical Engineer, Chartered Engineer preferred, typically 15+ years experience, extensive data centre delivery experience, strong international project exposure across Europe and the Middle East, and proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
