Lead Security Architecture Engineer - Financial Services

Genworth is seeking a Lead Security Engineer to safeguard our insurance and financial platforms that support families' long-term financial security. In this role, you will own design and implementation of secure architectures across cloud, applications, and data, leading vulnerability management and incident response. You'll embed security into DevSecOps pipelines, guide threat modeling and risk assessments, and partner closely with engineering, risk, and compliance. As a technical leader, you'll mentor engineers, champion secure-by-design practices, and help shape innovative security solutions in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of secure architectures for financial and insurance platforms
• Own cloud, application, and data security controls and tooling
• Drive vulnerability management, remediation, and secure configuration baselines
• Lead incident response, forensic analysis, and post-incident reviews
• Partner with engineering teams to embed security into SDLC and Dev

• Define and maintain security standards, policies, and reference architectures
• Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and security design reviews
• Mentor security engineers and champion security best practices across teams
• Collaborate with compliance and risk on regulatory and audit requirements
