Vice President of Cloud & Infrastructure Modernization

The University of Vermont Health Network seeks a Vice President of Cloud & Infrastructure Modernization to lead the transformation of our enterprise technology environment. This executive will define and execute a multi year cloud and infrastructure strategy supporting high quality, patient centered care across hospitals, clinics, and home health. Responsibilities include modernizing data centers, networks, and platforms; strengthening security and resiliency; aligning with HIPAA and regulatory standards; managing vendor relationships and budgets; and leading cross functional teams in a collaborative, academic health system.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a multi year cloud and infrastructure modernization strategy for the health network
• Oversee design, implementation, and optimization of hybrid cloud, data center, and network platforms
• Ensure reliability, security, and compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations
• Collaborate with clinical, research, and administrative leaders to align technology with patient care goals
• Lead, mentor, and grow high performing infrastructure and cloud engineering teams
• Manage budgets, capital planning, and vendor relationships for infrastructure and cloud services
• Drive adoption of automation, Dev
• Ops, and infrastructure as code practices
• Establish metrics and reporting for system performance, availability, and resiliency
• Guide disaster recovery and business continuity planning for critical systems
• Champion a culture of collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement across IT
