Senior Litigator, HOA Law

About the Role

Join a Southern California legal practice focused on community association law. You will independently manage a full-cycle litigation caseload and advise homeowner associations on a range of disputes, with an opportunity for partnership for the right candidate.

What You'll Do

• Handle litigation from complaints and motions through discovery, court appearances, and trial.

• Independently manage cases and respond to client needs within 24 hours.

• Represent homeowner associations in real estate, construction defect, creditor-side bankruptcy, and judgment collection matters.

• Work with senior attorneys on community association law and applications of the Davis-Stirling Act.

• Maintain high-quality written work while meeting an annual target of 1,800 billable hours.

What We're Looking For

• 7 to 15 years of civil litigation experience, including full-cycle case management and some trial experience.

• Juris Doctor degree and active membership in the California Bar.

• Background in HOA or community association law, real estate litigation, or construction defect litigation.

• Knowledge of real estate law, corporate governance, CC&Rs, or the Davis-Stirling Act.

• Excellent legal writing, a self-directed work style, and the ability to incorporate feedback.

• Experience with creditor-side bankruptcy or judgment collections is a plus.

• U.S. work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual base salary: $160,000 to $200,000. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Location

Remote, with the primary location in Los Angeles, California. Candidates should be able to visit the West Los Angeles office occasionally.
