Job Description
LCAT: Network Operations Specialist I Clearance: SECRET Clearance Job Type: Part-Time On-Call (PTOC) / Non-Exempt Location: OCONUS/CONUS Travel: 100% Travel Working Conditions: Inside Government training facilities.
Required Travel: Employees will travel to temporary work locations during exercises Job Function: Provides networking support for MTC daily operations and training and exercise events.
Responsibilities
- Configures, installs, and manages network equipment and circuits in support of both home-station and distributed events and exercises
- Provides network software and hardware troubleshooting and support
- Assists units and other exercise stakeholders during exercises
- Reviews STIGs and Best Business Practices (BBPs) to ensure that all Network equipment meets the required Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Army, and DOD standards Qualifications:
- Must possess Secret clearance
- Active US Passport
- Two (2) or more years of experience in Network Architecture design and implementation
- Possess advanced planning, troubleshooting and maintenance skills on server platforms, switch, router, and firewall configuration
- Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network troubleshooting and support
- Knowledge of routers, switches, patch panels, concentrators, associated terminals, and related network hardware and software
- Knowledge of desktop operating systems and applications
- Strong understanding of technology integration and information flow including LAN/WAN, firewalls, security, storage, and backup methodologies
- Must fully understand the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) Certification and Accreditation process and Cyber Security requirements Education:
- AA/AS in computer science or related technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, and/or training, specializing in Networking.
Certifications
- Meet DoD 8570.01-M Baseline Computing Environment (CE) Certification Requirements at Information Assurance Technical Level II (IAT II) or the minimum equivalent DoD 8140 DCWF requirements for Work Role 441 Network Operations Specialist Stillwater is an
