Part Time Infant Caregiver – South Sudbury, MA
Seeking a reliable, attentive, and caring part-time caregiver for an active and curious 6-month-old infant girl in South Sudbury, MA. The family is looking for a consistent, long-term caregiver to grow with their family through at least August 2027. The home includes one cat (no pet care required). This family has a vaccination policy in place, which will be discussed directly with the candidate.
Schedule:
- Days: 1–2 weekdays per week (flexible on specific days)
- Hours: 4–7 hours per shift (approximately 4–14 hours per week)
Family Specifications:
- Smoke-free home
- Has one cat in the home
- Parents may occasionally work from home, but caregiver will independently manage infant care
- Strictly no screen time allowed for the baby (TV, phones, tablets, or electronic media)
- Personal phone use permitted during nap times or brief necessary moments, provided screens are kept out of the baby's view
- Caregiver may take the baby into the yard or on local stroller walks, but driving/transporting the baby is strictly prohibited
Responsibilities:
- Provide full independent care for a 6-month-old infant
- Bottle feeding and age-appropriate mealtime support
- Diaper changing and basic hygiene
- Hold the baby for contact naps and provide patient infant sleep support
- Engage in age-appropriate developmental play, including tummy time, reading, singing, and floor play
- Take the baby outside for yard play and neighborhood stroller walks
- Light cleaning up after the baby (bottles, toys, and baby items)
Requirements:
- Proven infant care experience
- Comfortable working in a home with a cat
- Reliable transportation to and from the home (having your own car is strongly preferred)
Preferred:
- Infant CPR and First Aid certifications
- Excellent references
Compensation:
- $25–$30 per hour
- Position includes three paid trial shifts at an agreed hourly rate within this range
