Job description

Full Stack Software Engineer - Systematic Trading Technology

A growing quantitative investment firm is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to help build and enhance the firm's core trading platform. You'll join a small, highly collaborative engineering team responsible for the systems that drive the entire trading lifecycle, from market data ingestion and model execution through order generation, execution, fills, and P&L reporting.

This is an opportunity to work in a true ownership environment where engineers contribute across the stack and have direct impact on the firm's trading operations.

Team & Culture
  • Join a team of 5 engineers working in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Approximately 55 employees firmwide.
  • Engineers are encouraged to own products and initiatives end-to-end.
  • High visibility, direct impact, and minimal bureaucracy.
  • Strong interest and investment in AI-powered engineering workflows, automation, and developer productivity.

What You'll Be Building
  • Trading applications that collect, validate, and process market and research data.
  • Systems that support quantitative models and generate trading signals.
  • Order management and execution workflows that send orders to market.
  • Trade fill processing, reconciliation, and P&L reporting platforms.
  • Internal tools that improve the efficiency and scalability of the trading process.
  • User-facing applications that present complex trading and operational information in a clear and intuitive way.

What You'll Do
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
  • Build functional, clean user interfaces for traders, quants, and business users.
  • Work with cloud infrastructure, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Partner closely with developers, quants, and business stakeholders to deliver new functionality.
  • Contribute across multiple projects rather than being siloed to a single application.
  • Take ownership of systems and become a key contributor within a lean engineering organization.

What We're Looking For
  • 2-7 years of software engineering experience.
  • STEM Bachleor's Degree with a 3.5 GPA and up
  • Strong backend development experience with modern application architectures.
  • Experience building APIs and distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies and cloud-native development.
  • Hands-on experience with Git, GitHub/GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Full stack capabilities with the ability to build functional and intuitive frontend experiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
