Our direct Client is looking for Applied AI Data Scientist-12 Months Contract to Hire-Onsite opportunity(3 days a week ) at Irvine, CA-Direct Customer.
Primary Skills : Production AI/ML Deployment ,Strong Python & SQL ,LLM & Agentic AI Experience (2+ years hands-on) ,Data Science Experience
We are looking for an Applied AI Data Scientist to join the Customer Intelligence team. You will build AI and machine learning solutions on Xvantage, Ingram Micro’s AI-powered platform, including its patented Vendor and Customer Agnostic Framework (VCAF). You will work closely with sales, product, and engineering teams to turn business problems into AI solutions and take them from prototype to production. This role suits someone with strong data science skills, hands-on LLM experience, and a good feel for the business.
Job requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in data science
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience building with LLMs and AI agents
  • Strong skills in Python and SQL
  • Experience building predictive models and putting them into production
  • Ability to test AI output for accuracy and quality
  • Strong business sense, with the ability to explain results simply to business teams
  • Experience with the Google Cloud stack (Gemini, BigQuery, Vertex AI) is preferred
  • Experience in sales or customer analytics is a plus.

Education:
Bachelor s degree in computer science, information Systems, or related discipline.

This role is open to W2 or those seeking Corp-Corp employment.
The salary range for this role is 140-160 k/annum or Corp-Corp rates please contact the recruiter.
