Title: Active Directory Engineer

Location: Hybrid(Houston, TX)

Duration: Full Time

We are looking for AD Engineer with expertise in Quest Migrator Pro to support Active Directory management, application testing, and migration projects. The ideal candidate will have basic data analysis capabilities and assist in ensuring seamless migration and operational continuity for a critical infrastructure environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Active Directory environments.
• Design and manage object, password, and SID history migrations using Quest Migrator Pro.
• Migrate and validate users, groups, computers, service accounts, and file-share permissions.
• Develop scripts to automate AD migration processes.
• Monitor migration jobs, review logs, troubleshoot failures, and resolve migration issues.
• Assist in testing applications for compatibility and performance post-migration.
• Use Excel and PowerShell for basic data analysis, reporting, reconciliation, and AD validation.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure minimal disruption during migrations.
• Document procedures, issues, and resolutions.
• Follow strict change management, security, testing, documentation, and operational procedures in a highly regulated critical-infrastructure environment.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in configuring, implementing, and supporting Active Directory.
• Hands-on experience with Quest Migrator Pro or similar migration tools.
• Working knowledge of PowerShell for AD queries, reporting, validation, and basic automation.
• Data analysis ability related to user data, permissions, AD objects and identify migration discrepancies.
• Familiarity with application testing and validation during migrations.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Knowledge of security best practices in critical infrastructure environments is a plus.
