Job Description

Senior EC&I Engineer
Location: Glasgow
Working Pattern: Hybrid, ideally 2 days per week in the Clyde, Glasgow office
Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance required prior to commencement
Eligibility: Sole British Nationals only

About the Role

We are looking for a talented Senior EC&I Engineer to support the delivery of EC&I engineering activities on the NTSP project at HMNB Clyde Glasgow.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and delivery of electrical and control systems for new infrastructure projects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and supporting the successful delivery of project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver EC&I design solutions for new building infrastructure projects.

Design and specify HV and LV electrical systems.

Support communications systems design including SCADA, networks and telecommunications.

Deliver building services electrical engineering designs including:
Lighting
Small power
Earthing
Lightning protection
Prepare technical scopes and engineering documentation.
Produce system specifications and design deliverables.
Ensure compliance with client requirements and relevant standards.
Manage engineering risks, assumptions and design changes.
Support project delivery against agreed schedules and milestones.
Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Team Support & Development
The successful candidate will:

Collaborate effectively with junior engineers.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring where required.
Support team delivery and project objectives.
Develop leadership responsibilities as opportunities arise

Essential Experience

Strong experience within Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineering.
Experience designing HV and LV electrical systems.
Building services electrical design experience.

Knowledge of:

Lighting systems
Small power installations
Earthing systems
Lightning protection
Experience working with SCADA, telecommunications and network systems.
Ability to develop technical documentation and system specifications.
Experience managing design changes and engineering risks.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to deliver engineering outputs in line with programme requirements.

Desirable Experience

Experience within nuclear, defence, energy, utilities or other highly regulated sectors.

Working knowledge of:
Trimble / Amtech
DIALux
ETAP
Professional registration or progress towards chartership.
