Job description

Administer and monitor Linux servers in physical and virtual environments supporting the National Digital Exploitation & OSINT Center. Troubleshoot incidents, maintain systems and workstations, manage patches and configurations, analyze recurring issues, and document resolutions. This role is 100% on-site at the customer site in Bethesda, Maryland, with possible after-hours on-call support.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, monitor, and maintain Linux systems in physical and virtual environments.
  • Troubleshoot IT systems and user workstation issues, distinguishing individual incidents from enterprise-wide problems.
  • Coordinate with customers and stakeholders to analyze incident tickets and implement solutions.
  • Perform software configuration, server reboots, patching, and other corrective actions.
  • Analyze recurring problems and infrastructure performance, and develop preventive improvements.
  • Document operational procedures and provide technical findings and resolution reports.
