Renewables Project Manager
Location: Atlanta, Georgia (Hybrid)
Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive Project Manager to support a complex and regulated energy environment. The role is responsible for the development, evaluation, procurement, and management of renewable energy resources, including Utility Scale Request for Proposals (RFPs), Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), and Qualifying Facility (QF) projects. This position serves as a subject matter expert on project risk evaluation, contractual terms, renewable and energy storage applications, interconnection processes, and project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Experience: 3-5 years of Project Management experience is required, with a preference for experience in the renewable energy or broader energy sector. A comprehensive understanding of the Qualifying Facility (QF) project lifecycle, including evaluation, interconnection, contracting, commercial operation, and compliance obligations, is necessary. Experience supporting Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), RFP-driven acquisitions, or similar energy-related projects is also required.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Energy Policy, Finance, or another technical or business area is preferred.
Skills: Candidates must demonstrate strong coordination and communication skills. The role demands a proactive individual who drives projects, asks questions, and is willing to learn new processes and navigate complex regulatory requirements. Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills are essential.
Preferred Qualifications
This position is based in Atlanta, Georgia. The role follows a hybrid work schedule, with in-office work from Monday through Thursday and the option for remote work on Fridays. The successful candidate may need to support after-hours storm restoration efforts as needed.

Renewables Project Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the project manager and primary point of contact for Utility Scale renewable procurement programs and QF projects.
- Implement and operationalize existing policies and procedures.
- Support renewable energy and power purchase agreement initiatives.
- Partner with developers, internal stakeholders, and subject matter experts (SMEs).
- Coordinate across multiple business functions to ensure projects remain on track and achieve commercial operation milestones.
- Identify risks, drive issue resolution, and proactively remove roadblocks.
- Manage renewable energy projects and contracts from evaluation and procurement through commercial operation.
- Lead evaluation, development, negotiation, implementation, and management of Utility Scale PPAs and QF agreements.
- Oversee QF project intake, evaluation, interconnection coordination, milestone tracking, and commercial operation readiness.
- Provide regulatory support for PPA certification activities, QF program implementation, and IRP development.

- Experience working with developers and external partners throughout the project lifecycle.
