Job Title: AV Project Manager / AV Technical Lead
Location: Remote (Preference for Dallas, TX or Austin, TX)
Travel: Periodic travel to Houston, TX required
Duration: 4-Month Contract (September 2026 – December 2026) with potential for extension
Overview:
Seeking AV Project Manager / AV Technical Lead to support a large-scale Audio Visual (AV) program. This individual will serve as the primary AV subject matter expert and technical advisor, providing leadership, governance, and oversight for AV standards, solutions, and delivery activities. The ideal candidate will bring deep AV architecture experience with Cisco and Q-SYS (QSC) technologies while effectively coordinating between client stakeholders, engineering teams, and delivery partners.
Serve as the AV Program Technical Lead, reporting directly to the Program Manager.
Provide engineering oversight and technical governance for AV delivery partner.
Review Bills of Material (BOMs) and hardware quotations to ensure alignment with project standards and requirements.
Validate and align AV technical solutions being delivered to the client.
Lead and oversee recurring design review sessions with client stakeholders and engineering teams.
Maintain governance of AV standards, approved solutions, and technology kits of parts.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to AV standards, solution architectures, and equipment selections.
Act as the primary liaison between the delivery organization and the client''s engineering teams.
Develop a deep understanding of the client''s AV environment, standards, and operational requirements.
Serve as the trusted AV advisor for client stakeholders throughout the engagement.
Identify technical risks, provide recommendations, and ensure successful execution of AV initiatives.
7+ years of experience in Audio Visual (AV) architecture, engineering, or technical project leadership.
Strong expertise with Cisco Collaboration technologies.
Strong expertise with Q-SYS (QSC) AV solutions.
Experience managing enterprise AV deployments and large-scale AV programs.
Demonstrated ability to review AV designs, BOMs, hardware selections, and solution architectures.
Experience leading design review sessions and collaborating with client engineering teams.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while coordinating with distributed teams.
Experience supporting enterprise AV standards programs and governance initiatives.
Experience working with third-party AV integrators and delivery partners.
Previous experience in oil & gas, energy, manufacturing, or other enterprise environments.
PMP, CTS, CTS-D, or related industry certifications are highly preferred.
Lead a high-visibility enterprise AV program.
Act as the key technical advisor influencing AV standards and future-state solutions.
Work closely with senior stakeholders, engineering teams, and delivery partners.
