What You'll Do:Diagnose and repair moderate to complex mechanical and electrical problemsPerform engine and transmission tear-downs and overhaulsPerform engine diagnostics and tune-upsTroubleshoot truck, tractor, trailer, and component systemsPerform failure analysis to identify issues with component parts and systemsConduct inspections and diagnose minor mechanical issues according to DOTstandardsUtilize industry-standard diagnostic software and specialized toolsWeld and fabricate components as neededRead and interpret technical service manualsMaintain accurate maintenance and repair recordsCommunicate with drivers, dispatchers, and management to determine repair needsand prioritiesProvide estimated repair completion timesMaintain a clean and organized work areaFollow DOT, EPA, OSHA, federal, and state regulationsTravel within the designated region for service calls and temporary roadsidemaintenanceParticipate in technical training programsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:High School Diploma or equivalentVocational or technical training in diesel mechanics, welding, or arelated fieldValid driver's license with an acceptable driving recordStrong knowledge of diesel engines and automotive systemsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to operate and interpret industry-standard diagnostic softwarefor heavy-duty truck tractorsAbility to read and understand technical service manualsStrong attention to detailWillingness to learn and work as part of a teamAbility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as neededAbility to lift heavy equipment and work in varying weatherconditionsAbility to pass a pre-employment drug test and participate in thecompany's random drug and alcohol programPreferred:Valid Class A CDLKnowledge of Cummins Insite andPACCAR Davie softwareWelding and fabrication skillsThis Is a Hands-On RoleYou'll need to be comfortable working on heavy-duty equipment and maneuvering into hard-to-reach areas.

The position requires frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending,kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, twisting, and lifting. You must be able to lift objects up to 50 lbs. overhead and carry or move objects up to 60lbs. The role also requires good hand and finger dexterity, steady hands, coordination, and theability to see and hear details necessary for diagnosing and repairing equipment.
